Human Nature?

I found it interesting that John Rainolds would attribute "men's natural corruption and viciousness" to drunkness. I found it funny that this excuse was used, because it still to this day is being used to justify homosexual behavior or tendencies. However, I was somewhat mortified when Thomas Shepard said that it "was not part of the individual's nature: it was part of all human nature." I completely disagree with this statement. I do not believe that all men and women have homosexual desires or tendencies that are exposed with cloudy judgement. "When the mind is dulled or sleeping" mistakes can occur, but not to the extent of taking extreme leaps to cross boundaries of morals and characteristics.
